Yard waste disposal services at City site
Bagged leaves can be dropped off at the Troy Resource Management Facility (former Alamo) in South Troy beginning on Friday, April 16.
The Facility is located at 3000 Main Street, across the street from the County Jail. Bagged leaves can be dropped off Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 pm to 3 pm until May 14.
Leaves must be in biodegradable (paper) bags. Leaves in plastic bags, or bagged leaves contaminated with non-organic items (metals, plastics, cardboard/paper, etc.) will not be accepted.
This is a free service available to Troy residents only. Proof of residency will be required to drop off leaf bags (current driver’s license, recent utility bill).
The Facility will be open to the public for material disposal every Thursday, beginning April 15, from 9 am to 1 pm. Troy residents can drop off brush/branches and bagged leaves at no charge. No other materials will be collected. Additionally, Troy residents can pick up moving pallets and landscaping mulch from the TRMF at no charge during Thursday operating hours.
